The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plans (NARPs) are sector research plans that identify critical gaps in the information required by governments, industry and the community to develop and implement effective adaptation responses to climate change. These gaps formed the basis (through the calls for proposals) for the research programs mounted by NCCARF in the first phase.

NARPs were developed around nine priority sectors. The original NARPs were developed between 2010 and 2012. Since then, most have been reviewed at least once, some twice. The original NARPs and their updates are available below:
